Joel
Hagen and Nadine Fletcher
Recognized
as two of the best and most knowledgeable guides in the area, Joel and
Nadine have worked in the Rockies since 1991, both for Parks Canada and
now as Great Divide Nature Interpretation.
They
are IGA-accredited Master Interpreters - two
of only seven in the Canadian Rockies.

For
the IGA, they design and teach the Interpretation component of the
course taken by people wanting to be certified as "professional" or
"apprentice" interpretive guides.

They
have also both received awards from Interpretation Canada for their
interpretive shows and in 2004, they jointly received the first Outstanding
Heritage Interpreter award at the Banff Heritage Tourism
Awards - the first ever presented!
Another
Heritage Tourism Award followed in 2010. This award included
a lovely video about their work.
Your
safety is also their concern. They are trained in wilderness
first aid and on-trail guiding.
Great
Divide is insured and is licensed to operate by Parks Canada.
