The
Hiking Capital of Canada
Lake
Louise, Moraine Lake and the surrounding area is often called “the
Hiking Capital of Canada.” There are well over 200 km of
trails –
plenty of wonderful
places for you to explore!
Get a quick introduction to the mountains on one of our daily guided
group walking and hiking trips.
Or,
immerse yourself in a diversity of mountain stories by doing more than
one tour: visit
the alpine, ponder how the old-growth forest
renews itself one tree at a time and be surprised by a landscape
utterly transformed by fire.
In any season we can
suggest hiking trails that have something special to
offer: waterfalls,
wildflowers, glaciers or golden larch trees. See our Top
9½
Trails for some great ideas.

Half
and Full Day Hikes
A half day trip
could be an easy walk, an introduction to hiking or a warm up for
bigger days. These trips usually last four
to five hours.
It takes at least a moderate full day to get to
the most spectacular
places.
Full day trips usually last six
to eight hours.
Booking
The first person to
book sets the trip length, difficulty and destination for the day. You
can join trips already set up or choose a trip of your own on days
still available.
For private
services, you can hire
your own guide.
